Aug. 18: 7 to 7:30 p.m. Free "Earth Friendly Art" public reception, artist's panel featuring three Santa Barbara County artists, Tony Askew, Laura Lynch, and Jamie McConnell who use "found" or recycled materials in their artwork. Fri., and Sat., Aug. 19 and 20: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. "Quick Draw" art competition in Los Olivos. Artists start from scratch and within 60 minutes create a painting, sculpture or drawing, which are auctioned off to the highest bidder.
